Sun Mobility, an Electric Vehicle (EV) company, on Friday, November 27, 2020 announced the appointment of Devender Singh Rawat, who is the former CEO and MD of Bharti Infratel, as its India CEO.

The new role will be providing Devender with the responsibility of accelerating the company’s business division alongside creating emphasis on countrywide expansion.

SUN Mobility Co-Founder and Vice-Chairman Uday Khemka, in an official statement, said, “With 25 years of world-class leadership experience driving complex telecom businesses, scaling infrastructure rollouts and managing regulatory challenges, DS Rawat brings to SUN Mobility the right credentials to accelerate the company''s next phase of growth.”

Bringing in his 25 years’ experience to the telecom sector, Rawat was responsible for business growth of Bhart INfratel for a decade, and managed 95,000 telecom towers on a consolidated basis.

Rawat said, “The EV sector in India, with the right vision and direction, can outpace any other country in the world with respect to technology innovation and its adoption. I am looking forward to reliving the giant leaps that the telecom sector made in the last decade."
